Vero is a specialist in the area of background screening and consequently we enjoy the advantages of focus on our core service.

We believe that we offer a unique blend of experience and customer service combined with the ambition and in-house technical competences required to drive change in our industry through constant innovation and challenge to accepted practices.

We do not accept that the ultimate service and method of managing background checks has yet been developed. It is our mission to develop that solution and our screening system ('VeroLive') is already a fundamental re-working of process and principles widely used within the UK background screening sector.

When Vero was established in early 2006 it was our goal to produce a more efficient, integrated solution that removes the possibility for human error and reduces delays which are inevitable if traditional processes are adopted as they are both reliant on paper and the inevitable idiosyncracies of operators managing the process.

Other software solutions within the industry tend to be basic workflow systems, although to achieve an advance in the method we specifically recognized the need to produce a proactive system. VeroLive is therefore unique in its ability to drive the screening process, unlike traditional screening solutions which tend to be static in nature.

In practical terms, this means that no individual background check can be left un-started or without regular follow up by research team members. Data is automatically tracked, monitored and managed with the consequence being that we have overcome formerly unresolved process weaknesses inherent within our industry; lengthy reporting times, poor reporting accuracy, and insufficient compliance with data protection and regulatory standards.

Green Vero

Vero has adopted a comprehensive environmental policy, which includes the following actions:

Environmental Policy We always try to keep the Vero carbon footprint as small as possible by adopting a common sense approach. We have calculated our carbon emissions, from both our business travel and our office activities, and have made a donation via www.jpmorganclimatecare.com to offset these emissions. This organisation will invest our carbon offset donation on our behalf in to a wide range of ethical, global carbon reduction programmes which will benefit many communities around the world.

Environmental Policy We actively recycle all of our office waste, which is kept to an absolute minimum.

Environmental Policy We have eliminated the need for waste paper baskets, by operating with such modern technology that our office is almost completely paperless.

Environmental Policy We have a rack of company bicycles outside our office, for our staff to use whenever they want to, reducing unnecessary car journeys dramatically.

Environmental Policy We deliberately located our office in a central location, allowing the majority of our staff to travel to work using public transport.
