Very few countries facilitate access to criminal record information via a third party in the way that the Scottish Criminal Records Office (SCRO) and Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) do in the UK. In most instances CRC data can only be obtained via 'subject access request (SAR)' under relevant data protection legislation. Vero can advise on the CRB checks process for individual countries, including the level of subject and employer involvement.

Country by country we have documented the different approaches required.
